What roles are you recruiting for?
With 156 rooms, six dining outlets, meeting facilities and fitness and leisure options, Coral Beach Resort – Sharjah is quite a challenging operation. We do not have a very high turnover in terms of staff owing to excellent work environment and growth opportunities.
However, there are always new positions opening up due to the addition or expansion of facilities. At the same time vacancies come up due to internal movements, promotions or some staff deciding to pursue other career opportunities. We are currently looking for F&B positions — mainly supervisors, stewards, waiters and chefs.
What are the attributes you look for when recruiting?
We are always looking for people with a passion for hospitality. The candidate should possess a positive work attitude and has to be a team player. Integrity and professionalism are an absolute must if you are to grow in your career.

What are your interview tips?
Be yourself. Do not try to portray yourself as somebody you are not as it is imperative to build trust with the person interviewing you. The first impression is always the last so make sure you present yourself well in terms of looks and grooming. Speak in a relaxed and coherent way. Promote yourself without sounding self-promotional. A good conversation often helps. An interviewer will probably remember three, four or five things about you at the end of the interview so give out only the most important information about yourself that is most relevant to the job.
