Hong Kong-based New World Hospitality, whose portfolio includes the Rosewood Hotels & Resorts collection, is changing its name in line with its premium brand to Rosewood Hotel Group.
The international management company, which recently opened the five-star Rosewood Abu Dhabi at Al Al Marjah Island, also operates the New World Hotels and Pentahotels brands within a network of 40 hotels in 14 countries.
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is the group’s premium brand comprising of 18 hotels including Abu Dhabi.

The group’s chief executive officer, Sonia Cheng commented: “As Rosewood is the group’s marquee brand, and the one whose properties are most widely represented geographically, we feel it is more appropriate for the company to adopt the Rosewood name.”
Cheng confirmed that the group expects to more than double its current portfolio in the next five years.
