Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara and Anantara Al Yamm Villa Resort general manager Steven Phillips said: “This unique natural location was always one of its kind in the Arabian Gulf, due to its geographical location and rich history. With the latest resort addition, the island is now becoming a destination within the destination of Abu Dhabi on an Emirate scale and within the UAE on a national scale. We are confident that the Anantara Al Yamm Villa Resort will maintain Sir Bani Yas Island’s position as a five-star destination for adventure as well as beach front seclusion.”

TDIC director of marketing, communications, sales and leasing Ahmed Al Fahim stated: “We are delighted to launch the new Anantara Al Yamm Villa Resort, our latest and unconventional hospitality development, which strengthens our long-term partnership with Anantara.

"We anticipate that this regionally distinctive villa resort concept will bring a new dimension to Sir Bani Yas Island’s offerings, attracting a greater number of visitors to the Emirate that will support Abu Dhabi’s goal as a leading tourism and cultural destination.”

The opening will be the first of two new developments planned for the expansion of Sir Bani Yas Island, with the Anantara Al Sahel Villa Resort scheduled to open at the end of 2013.
