Oman-based Muriya Tourism Development, a joint venture between Orascom Development Holdings and Omran, has appointed Hamza Selim as chief executive officer.
In his new role, Selim will be responsible for the operations of the Jebel Sifah and Salalah Beach developments as well as future projects in the pipeline and is charged with creating destinations to attract visitors and residents to Oman.
Prior to joining Muriya, Hamza Selim was chief destination management officer at Orascom in Egypt, where he worked for eight years. He previously worked with Hyatt International for 27 years, during which time he held prominent positions in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE and Morocco.
