The Banyan Tree Ras Al Khaimah Beach resort has created an Arabian pearl retreat that allows guests to learn about the history of Arabic pearl cultivation as well as how to create their own bespoke jewellery designs.
The special package begins with guess catching a Seawings seaplane flight from Dubai Creek to the Banyan Tree Ras Al Khaimah Beach where they will check into one of the resort’s Beach Pool Villas.
Guests will then be taken by private car to visit the only pearl farm in the United Arab Emirates for an insight into the history and techniques of local pearl farming.

The day’s itinerary will also include a picnic lunch served on a floating majilis where guests will have the chance to choose their own oysters and select two pearls to design and create a their own signature jewellery under the instruction of a local jewellery designer.
More than 50% of the world’s natural pearl production comes from the Arabian Gulf, with Ras Al Khaimah pearls being world renowned for their size and quality. The average size of pearls from can start from 7mm up to 12mm compared to a maximum of 8mm for Japanese pearls.
Banyan Tree Ras Al Khaimah Beach resort is set on a private beach with 32 Beachfront Pool Villas designed to allow guests to experience the nomadic life of Bedouin tribes. Each villa offers its own infinity plunge pool, beach cabana and private terrace while the resort also has a spa with six treatment rooms and Sands, a beach grill restaurant set around a large infinity pool.
