Four Seasons Hotel Doha has promoted Shadi Suleman to the position of hotel manager.

A long-serving member of the Four Seasons family, Suleman joined the company in 2002 as night manager at Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Centre in Saudi Arabia.

He returned to Syria for the opening of Four Seasons Hotel Damascus, where he served as front office manager before being promoted to assistant director of rooms.

Suleman’s knowledge of the region ensured he joined special task force teams on assignment at Four Seasons properties in Cairo at Nile Plaza and in Istanbul at the Bosphorus.

In 2008 he moved to Doha as assistant director of rooms, and has served as an integral part of the hotel’s operational team since this time, building a strong network of connections with the team, guests and the local community in his five years at the Doha property.

Regional VP Middle East and general manager Four Seasons Hotel Doha, Simon Casson, who is also the newly appointed regional vice president and general manager of Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach ahead of the property's late-2014 opening, said: “Shadi has helped to establish Four Seasons Hotel Doha as a leading hotel in a city that is not short of luxury players, and it is to his credit that our physical product and service offering continuously set the benchmark for Doha.

“In addition to his day to day tasks, Shadi has played a critical role in remotely supporting the team at Four Seasons Hotel Damascus in his home country over the past year while the property has operated without a General Manager. He has the leadership, drive and the attitude that naturally inspire his team to give their best,” Casson added.

Suleman will take over the position of Hotel Manager from Ahmed Khalaf, who moves to Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria as the new General Manager of the Mediterranean-based property.
