Starwood Hotels and Resorts has held its fourth annual ‘Iftar for Cabs’ event which saw 34 Starwood properties across the Middle East distributed Iftar packs with food and beverages to taxi drivers in various cities.
Some of the hotels which took part included the recently opened Sheraton Dubai Mall of the Emirates and the Le Méridien Dubai hotels in the UAE, as well as the Four Points by Sheraton Riyadh Khaldia and the Le Méridien Al Khobar in KSA. During the hour of Iftar, both hotels distributed packs of food and beverages to cab drivers at the main entrance of each hotel.
Starwood Hotels and Resorts senior vice president and regional director Guido de Wilde said: “Iftar for Cabs is our way to say thank you to the cab drivers across the Middle East. This initiative in now in its fourth year and represents the spirit of the Holy Month of Ramadan. We are extremely proud of all our associates who came together yesterday to make this year’s ‘Iftar for Cabs’ another big success and I want to thank them for their continued support.”

Staff from various departments, including guest services, administration and catering handed out the Iftar packs at the main entrances of the hotels.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts celebrated Iftar with hundreds of taxi drivers from across the Middle East as part of its ongoing commitment to the Holy Month of Ramadan.
