Hilton Worldwide have announced that Nick Alvis and Scott Price, creators of the award winning Dubai restaurant Table9 by nick and scott inside the Hilton Dubai Creek hotel, will be leaving the restaurant on December 31, 2013.

The duo have agreed to join the Dubai based Albwardy Investment Group to launch new F&B concepts at the firm's outlets in the UAE. Albwardy currently owns the Desert Palm Retreat hotel and the Desert Palm Residences, as well as retail outlets including Spinneys Dubai and Pavilion Foods.

In a statement Alvis said: "Following four great years with Hilton Dubai Creek, we have made the difficult decision to move on and pursue new opportunities."

Price added: "It was a dream of ours to create and open our own restaurant concept and we will always appreciate the support and opportunity we have been given, and are very proud of what the team has created and achieved at table 9 by nick and scott. We feel the time is right to take on a new challenge and we are excited about the future."

He continued: "That said, we are not moving on quite yet. We will be operating as usual until December 31, 2013."

Table9 by nick and scott was launched in November 2011 after Gordon Ramsay ended his partnership with Verre by Gordon Ramsay at Hilton Dubai Creek. The restaurant most recently won two awards at the Caterer Middle East Awards 2013 - one for Hotel Restaurant Team of the Year and the second for Restaurant Manager of the Year which was won by Viktorija Paplauskiene.
