Majid Al Futtaim, the UAE based shopping mall developer, owner and operator, is progressing with its plans to build two new Dubai hotels next to its Mall of the Emirates and Deira City Centre mall properties.

In addition to its two new hotel developments, Majid Al Futtaim has also planned for the redevelopment and refurbishment of its existing Kempinski Mall of the Emirates and Pullman Dubai Deira City Centre hotels.

The upgrade of the attached 393-room Kempinski is currently pencilled in to be completed by the end of 2015, while a new "ultra-luxury" branded hotel with 200 rooms and restaurants is also going to be added.

The Deira City Centre mall, meanwhile, will have a new 292-room luxury hotel as well as the Pullman hotel upgrade. The mall itself is currently undergoing a refurbishment which will improve links to the adjacent metro station and add new dining areas, as well as a healthcare clinic.
