Dusit Thani Dubai has appointed Julia Alvaro as its new director of sales and marketing.
Alvaro, who has more than 20 years’ industry experience, played an instrumental role in the opening of several Dubai property including The Palace Old Town and Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort.
Prior to joining Dusit Thani Dubai, she was the director of sales and marketing at Radisson Blu Media City.

Dusit Thani International also appointed Thanos Lionsatos as director of sales and marketing at Dusit Thani Maldives.
Dusit Thani regional vice president of operations Europe, Middle East and Africa, Thierry Douin said: “We are pleased to welcome two new members to the Dusit International executive team. With the Middle East being one of the top markets for our Maldives resort, I am confident that Ms Alvaro’s regional experience, coupled with Mr Lionsatos’ strategic market planning, will continue to drive sales to the stunning resort.”
Alvaro joins Dusit Thani during its ‘Year of Expansion’. The international hotel group has opened two new properties this year – in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and Changzhou China – with agreements for more projects in China and Singapore also signed.
