Le Meridien Al Aqah Resort general manager and founder of the UAE Lifeguard Championship Patrick Antaki said: “The UAE National Lifeguard Championship is a great opportunity for local lifeguards to demonstrate their skills and physical fitness as well as provide an opportunity for the community to network and share information.”

“Furthermore, it helps increase awareness of water safety and I am delighted to see a record number of teams from the region signing up this year. It is a great way for hotels, companies and venues that employ lifeguards to offer them this opportunity to compete against each other and meet like-minded people in their industry they may never had the opportunity to meet without this event,” he added.
