UK celebrity chef Gary Rhodes has opening his first restaurant in Abu Dhabi with the launch of Rhodes 44 in the St Regis Abu Dhabi.

Following on from his success in Dubai where he has already opened the Rhodes Mezzanine and Rhodes Twenty10 restaurants, Rhodes 44 will offer the chef's signature reinventions of classic British and European dishes, complemented by Arabian influences. The restaurant also offers guests two private dining rooms.

"Rhodes 44 continues Abu Dhabi's legacy of bridging Western and Arabian cultures, in a setting graced with local character," said the Michelin starred chef.

"We're eager to cater to Abu Dhabi's diverse guests who have sophisticated tastes, from the large British community who want to savour favourite dishes from home, to the Middle Eastern guests who want to experience a European twist on the culinary traditions from this region," added Rhodes.

The St Regis Abu Dhabi general manager Oliver Key added: "Gary Rhodes is one of the most highly regarded chefs in the world, and we believe Rhodes 44 will quickly become Abu Dhabi's premier destination for travellers, residents, and businesspeople seeking a relaxed yet refined dining experience in a captivating setting."

Overseeing Gary Rhodes' vision at Rhodes 44 is head chef Paul Lupton, who has worked with Rhodes since 2002 and was previously head chef at Rhodes Mezzanine in Dubai.

Rhodes 44 complements Rhodes' two additional UAE restaurants Rhodes Mezzanine and Rhodes Twenty10, both located in Starwood hotels in Dubai.

Bringing Gary Rhodes to The St Regis Abu Dhabi follows the St Regis brand's tradition of having the world's top chefs at its hotels around the world, including Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Gordon Ramsay, and Michael Mina.
