The Armed Forces Officers Club and Hotel has opened a new health club for members named Special One Fitness, and fitted out with advanced fitness machines, it is said to be the largest health club in the UAE capital.

The facility includes two fully-equipped gymnasiums for men and women, an Olympic size indoor swimming pool with an adjacent Jacuzzi, and a steam bath complete with spa, massage, sauna, cold-water pool and temperature-controlled shower.

Other attractions include two Olympic standard shooting galleries, two squash courts, a martial arts stadium, a bowling centre and facilities to enjoy table tennis, and paintball as well as indoor and outdoor football courts, cage football courts, indoor volleyball and tennis courts, indoor basketball courts and a track and field course.

In addition to regular fitness training, Special One Fitness will also offer a range of activities and programs such as aerobics, nutrition programs, body toning, indoor track run, steam bath, cardio fitness equipment, spin-cycling, massage treatments and a sports juice bar.

Speaking at the launch, Armed Forces Officers Club and Hotel director of sports and management Salah Selumi Al Zaabi said: “We are proud to declare open Special One Fitness that’s absolutely phenomenal in size and offers the most incredible views of Abu Dhabi City. On site is the latest fitness equipment as well as highly qualified and experienced trainers.
