Alila Hotels & Resorts Group is set to open its first Middle East hotel in Oman in Q2, 2014 following handover of the resort from the Sultanate’s tourism development company Omran at the end of this year.

Located in the Hajar Mountains and set 2000 metres above sea level, the Alila Jabal Akhdar Hotel will be part of Alila’s Lifestyle Collection and has been designed by W S Atkins and P49 according to the local Omani building style and natural landscape.

Omran CEO Wael Al Lawati said: ““The handover of this landmark project is yet another milestone for the growth of tourism in the Sultanate and we look forward to working with Alila Hotels & Resorts to ensure its success.

The property comprises 84 suites and two Jabal villas,a restaurant and bar, outdoor and indoor pools and Spa Alila.
