Starwood Hotels & Resorts is set to make its debut in the UAE emirate of Ajman on February 1, 2014 with the opening of Ajman Saray, A Luxury Collection Resort, Ajman.
A beachside property, Ajman Saray will feature 205 rooms, including 24 suites with views of the Arabian Gulf. The resort will also offer a variety of F&B experiences including a specialty restaurant focused on Middle Eastern delicacies, a contemporary seafood restaurant, an all-day dining space serving Mediterranean cuisine, a beach bar and grill and an equestrian inspired lounge.
Speaking about the announcement, Starwood Hotels & Resorts – Middle East senior vice president, regional director Guido de Wilde said, “We are extremely pleased with the progress of Ajman Saray and look forward to introducing the resort to global explorers, as well as the local and regional communities.”

“Ajman has positioned itself as a must-see destination in the UAE and this resort truly celebrates the emirate’s beauty and culture through its spectacular design and impeccable service. Ajman Saray will provide an enchanting coastal sanctuary for international guests and the perfect weekend retreat for local residents,” he added.
Leisure facilities at the hotel will include a 1,250 square metre spa, an outdoor swimming pool and a range of water sport activities. The resort will also have nearly 1,000 square metres of meeting and event space, including a ballroom that spans more than 480 square metres.
Also commenting on the imminent opening was His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince and chairman of the executive council of Ajman, who said: “The opening of the UAE's first beachfront Luxury Collection hotel is a welcome addition to the emirate of Ajman. We feel that Starwood embraces and shares our vision of positioning Ajman as a distinguished destination for Arabian hospitality and exceptional service while remaining respectful of our rich heritage and natural beauty.”

The resort will mark the brand’s entry into the emirate, reinforcing The Luxury Collection’s global growth target to surpass 90 hotels by 2016.
The Luxury Collection currently has more than 85 hotels around the world and spanning 30 countries. Ajman Saray will be the fourth addition to The Luxury Collection’s portfolio in the Middle East which features the Al Maha Desert Resort and Spa, Grosvenor House Dubai and Sheraton Kuwait. The brand will expand its regional footprint with Grand Hills in Beirut, Lebanon (2014) and Al Manara Hotel in Aqaba, Jordan (2016).
