The Ajman Saray beach resort, which is due to open on February 1, is to develop a unique scent in partnership with Italian perfumer Laura Tonatto to remind guests of their stay at the hotel.

The exclusive perfume will be diffused throughout every aspect of the property, from the front entrance to the paper on the final bill, and then given to guests to take home.

Commenting on the initiative, Ajman Saray general manager, Michele Frignani said: “The scent will bring back memories of your stay. It’s incredible - it’s something we’re really looking forward to. It will build a story too so that when we go around selling and presenting the hotel, it will provide that extra touch.”

Frignani had previously worked with Tonatto on the production of a scent for the St. Regis in Rome where he worked as a GM. The scent spearheaded the hotel’s amenity line which became so successful that guests were ordering them to be delivered to their homes.
