Jumeirah’s recently announced RnB (restaurants and bars) division is currently working on 20 new F&B concepts, as the UAE based hospitality groups identifies existing gaps in the region’s F&B market.

The announcement came at a Gulfood 2014 seminar entitled ‘The Secret Of Franchise Success’, where Jumeirah Restaurants managing director Jason Myers hinted at the hotel group’s future plans.

“As a part of our new RnB division, we’ve just invested in a brand new innovation team, who we have brought in to just work on innovating new concepts, and we have 20 concepts that we are working on right now,” said Myers.

“We are working on a lot of new brands and we are seeing gaps in the market. These will not necessarily always be brand new ideas, but we may come up with something more authentic, or something that positions itself differently in the market. We already know how important it is to know who your market is, and we will be innovating new brands such as the new Tortuga which recently launched in Madinat Jumeirah,” added Myers.

The seminar was part of the Gulfood 2014 Gulfood Franchising Conference, which brought together a range of industry experts to discuss the potential for local and international franchises in the Middle East.
