Three Rotana hotels - Villa, Rihab, and Rimal Rotana - won the Gulfood 2014 ‘We Inspire’ Facebook competition for their work training special needs students.
The Gulfood ‘We Inspire’ social media competition recognises businesses that have implemented positive influences in their community.
Commenting on the hotel’s win, Kinan Al Ghraoui, general manager of the three hotels said: “I would like to thank Gulfood for this recognition and commend the Villa, Rihab and Rimal Rotana team for their exceptional contributions in all our initiatives throughout the year, especially in this training programme. Our hotels are always committed to supporting young students with special needs and make them familiar with the real working environment. Together we must put the most vulnerable at the heart of our actions to achieve a better life for all.”
The hotels launched the programme in 2009 to offer specialised training to special needs students. Each year, each of the three hotels welcome three to six Rashid Centre students selected by the centre’s management to receive six to eight months of training under the supervision of the centre’s social assistance division and the human resource department of the hotels.
