East Asian venue Cargo has opened in Dubai Marina's Pier 7, with interiors reminiscent of 1960s Hong Kong at the harbour-side.
The restaurant and lounge interiors have been created with shipping crates, raw steel, concrete and weathered wood, with views of Dubai Marina.
Cargo’s kitchen serves up sharing dishes including chilli and garlic edamame, sesame crusted Ahi tuna and lemon grass chicken skewers, along with mains of teriyaki- glazed cod or Pad Thai with smoked duck.

"Cargo brings the ambitious, bustling vibe of the East to the Middle East, which fits perfectly in Dubai Marina’s ever growing community,” said general manager Robbert Heller.
“It is a locally created concept by long-time residents of the Marina, understanding the needs of the surrounding clientele of well-travelled diners who know good service, good food and good drinks. Cargo offers them just that, in a relaxed environment, perfect for socialising for work or pleasure.”
The brand is a UAE-developed concept, specifically designed to cater to the Dubai Marina community and its surrounding areas. In the coming months, the venue will offer extended weekend hours, a brunch, a ladies’ night concept and more.
