Alila Hotels & Resorts will launch the upcoming Alila Jabal Akhdar with a promotion called ‘A Gift to Share’ to support the local community.
Designed as an introductory offer for local and GCC residents, guests booking a one night stay will receive a complimentary second night in return for a donation to Dar Al Atta’a.
Commenting on the introductory promotion, Alila Jabal Akhdar general manager Jork Bosselaar said: “Operating a hotel is a two way process and it is important that we not only respect the area but also lend our support to preserve the unique culture of Jabal Akhdar as well as in benefiting the local community through our association with the Dar Al Atta’a. We are looking forward to welcoming guests at the resort soon.”

Alila Group CEO Frederic Simon said: “At every Alila destination, it is very important for us to be connected with the locals as we employ from within the village whenever possible. Alila Jabal Akhdar is in a stunning location and we are delighted that the Sultanate is our first foray into the Middle East. We are confident that the Alila guest will be delighted with the destination and will contribute to this worthy cause to support its people in the preservation of this beautiful region.”
Scheduled to open in late April 2014, the Alila Jabal Akhdar will feature 78 suites, six loft suites and two Jabal villas as well as a restaurant and lounge, Spa Alila, in addition to outdoor and indoor pools.
Dar Al Atta’a is a non-profit volunteer-based charity that was formed in 2002 and was formally registered as a charity in 2006 with the Ministry of Social Development of the Sultanate of Oman, enabling them to organise official fundraising activities and events, hire staff and effectively cater to the needs of the underprivileged in the Sultanate.
