Technical Chemical Laboratories (TCL) has developed a new temperature monitoring system called "HACCP Track", which aims to help food production organisations monitor the food temperature in various settings.
Its general manager Galal Ghaly said: "The new innovated HACCP Track system gives off an alarm if the food temperature is out of the required range, and if there is no response to the alarm it will send you an email and SMS."
The system can be used to monitor food temperatures in cold rooms, freezers, hot cabinets, and during transportation.

Ghaly said TCL products have seen success in the Middle East, and the company is planning to expand in Asian markets this year. He said: "We are planing to establish a new factory in Malaysia and hire distributors in China, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines and Thailand."
He emphasised the importance of food hygiene in the F&B sector and said there is no value in serving contaminated food made of very expensive ingredients. "Food hygiene is a very important practice that should begin by the top management support and belief in the quality and hygiene standard of meals provided to their customers."
TCL is sponsoring the Caterer Middle East Food & Business Conference on March 18 at The Ritz-Carlton DIFC. Ghaly said: "Caterer Middle East Food and Business Conference is one of the major events in the region which is related to the food production industries for which we supply sanitation and hygiene products.
"We sponsor the event as we find it a very important, successful and recognisable event by all the food and beverage professionals in different sectors within the hospitality industries."
