Dubai Furniture Manufacturing Company LLC (DFMC) is a multinational company with its corporate office in Dubai, UAE, and sister companies located in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman.

Established in 1993, DFMC was first set up to manufacture and market King Koil-branded products, and has since established itself as the leader in the mattress industry in the Middle East and has also acquired the license to manufacture and market Serta-branded products.

DFMC also exclusively manufactures mattresses for certain hotel chains. For instance, Hilton Worldwide uses Serta mattresses at its properties around the world.

“Hoteliers are increasingly aware of the specific brands and type of mattresses they require. In many cases, the trend seems to be to entrust the bedding requirements to a preferred and established supplier. Hoteliers seem to be looking at sleep products as a complete package and hence there is a lot of focus on the accessories as well, like pillows, duvets etc,” says Dubai Furniture Manufacturing Company’s marketing director Sudarshan Rai.

DFMC recently launched the iCollection by Serta, as well as 3D gel mattresses under King Koil for retail customers. It has also introduced jointed toppers and jointed duvets for the hospitality industry. Another new product introduced by DFMC is a bed bug proof mattress encasements with a zipper locking system, which protects the mattress from bugs and is water resistant.

The company also conducts training programmes for hotel housekeeping staff, offering tips on mattress maintenance and protection.
