Almost 100 brands and 30 companies from around the world have gathered in Abu Dhabi for pool and spa exhibition Piscine Middle East, with more than 6,000 people expected to attend the event.
Taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) until April 24, the second edition of the exhibition is being organised by French company GL Events.
It brings together leading international exhibitors to meet their counterparts, showcase the latest innovation from the global pool industry and discuss opportunities and challenges in the Middle East market.
Exhibitors at this year’s event come from 12 different countries, up from nine in 2012. Among them are developers, contractors and service providers in equipment and pool accessories, maintenance, filtration, protection security, construction installation, outdoor living pool and health and wellness.

In 2012 more than 3,000 professional visitors attended the event and, with the spa industry performing well and growing fast in the Middle East, the French organiser expects to double this number with this new edition.
"The real work starts after the pool is built,” said GL Events exhibitions show director Noémi Petit. “Maintaining a clean and hygienic pool is a major challenge, and that's why Piscine Middle East is working in the region with the world's leading authorities on water treatment, maintenance, construction and ground materials.”
Cityscape Abu Dhabi is the strategic event partner in the region and the two shows are being held alongside each other at ADNEC with the same entry badge.
This year’s event also sees the introduction of the Pool Vision awards, organised in partnership with ArchiEurop Group. Swimming pool projects are being selected from around the world and are being judged from technical and aesthetic standpoints. There will be a winner for each of the following categories: private pool, public or hotel pool and spa.
