What is the concept of the restaurant?
The word Tomo is literally translated in Japanese to mean a lifelong friend. Our hope is that Tomo is a place where good friends will often meet to share memorable occasions because it feels like home.

Quite simply, Tomo is an authentic Japanese restaurant promoting Japanese food, while reflecting the original food culture, where people can enjoy a wonderful selection of dishes that our team of talents chefs have spent years refining their skills to create.

The aim is to share and promote the magic of Japanese cuisine and culture in the Middle East. Being nestled on top of Raffles Dubai’s pyramid-shaped building with magical views of Dubai from all angles has given us a great launch pad for the concept.

How does the tableware reflect the restaurant’s concept?
Our target is to deliver a real Japanese dining experience at all levels. At the table, the set-up, elegance, and standards we have set are very important to identify our concept and show to what extent our commitment is effective in offering a real Japanese experience.

What is the most important rule about dining table setup?
Following the formal set-up standards and sequences, maintaining the traditional Japanese dining style is the most important rule and element to give a clear image of our brand.
