Intercontinental Hotels Group is set to open the first two hotels next month under its new Even Hotels brand, which focuses on health and wellbeing.
The hotels are both in the USA, in Rockville, Maryland and Norwalk, Connecticut, and IHG has confirmed the leadership teams for both properties.
Even Hotels is built around four key components: eating well, resting easy, keeping active and accomplishing more. The brand was launched by IHG in 2012.
“Wellness isn’t just a way of life for our guests. A healthy lifestyle and the idea that we are each on our own wellness journey are also central to each of our team members,” said Adam Glickman, head of Even Hotels at IHG.
“We look for team members who are passionate and motivated to help others achieve their wellness goals and stay true to their wellness routines."
Scott Blakeslee and Dieter Schmitz will serve as chief wellness officers of the Even Hotels Rockville property and the Even Hotels Norwalk properties respectively.
