Ramada Hotels & Suites Ajman has partnered with Al Ihsan Charity Association to hand out iftar meals to drivers as part of its “A Safe Ramadan’ campaign.
The campaign aims to reduce road accidents and excessive speeding during the time leading up to the call to prayer by handing out boxes with a light meal of dates, croissants, and water to drivers, allowing them to break their fast on time.
Ramada Hotels & Suites general manager Iftikhar Hamdani commented: “The Holy Month is the time for generosity and benevolence, and we are again delighted to team up with Al Ihsan Charity Association and give back to the society through this activity.
“A number of accidents had been recorded during Ramadan, thus, we came up with this campaign to reach out to the drivers and maintain a safe observance of the sacred occasion.”
The hotel carries out various CSR activities every year – in 2013, Ramada Ajman partnered with Al Ihsan Charity Association to distribute meals to underprivileged families in Ajman and Sharjah.
