Grand Millennium Dubai has hosted an iftar for more than 50 victims from the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children as part of a CSR initiative.

During the event, the women and children enjoyed a buffet of Arabic and international dishes, including a selection of starters, hot dishes, and desserts.

Commenting on the event, Grand Millennium general manager Peter Mansourian said: “This was our way to reflect on the significance of the Holy month of Ramadan, which is not limited to the Islamic community, but for the entire mankind.

"It reminds us to think about the less fortunate brothers and sisters in our surrounding as well as in other parts of the world.

“We decided to invite the residents of the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, because these women and children are victims of domestic violence, child abuse, and human trafficking. While the foundation provides them shelter service as well as social and psychological care, they also need love and affection from the community."

Dubai Foundation for Women and Children director general Afra Al Basti added: “We are looking forward to more cooperation in the near future with The Grand Millennium Dubai hotel, as we consider the private sector a main partner in developing the society.”
