The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company is to open its first golf resort in China late next year on the tropical island of Hainan.
Located in Haikou, the capital of Hainan province, The Ritz-Carlton, Mission Hills will have 201 rooms, including 21 private villas, as well as a dedicated club house.
It will be part of the The Haikou Mission Hills Golf Club project, which includes 10 golf courses, forming the largest public golf complex in the world.
“Our first golf resort in China marks a new chapter of growth for The Ritz-Carlton and sets the stage for expanding our resort and golf portfolio throughout the region,” said The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company president and chief operating officer Hervé Humler.
“Like other Ritz-Cartlton world-class golf facilities, we expect this new addition to attract luxury travelers and golf enthusiasts from across the globe.”
