The Q bar located in Holiday Inn Dubai - Al Barsha has re-opened after a major refit, which aimed to create a funky, retro and eclectic vibe.
Suspended from the ceiling are UV-lit snooker cues, against a monochromatic back drop. White floors and walls, large black sofas and upholstered bar stools hope to make the venue more appealing for those wanting to watch sports along with eight TVs with 20 sport channels.
The venue serves 12 varieties of beers, along with its bar menu.
Cecilia Clason Skjorten, founder of Cecilia Clason Interiors, said: "This was a really unique project in the sense that it was a real team effort as waiters, managers and directors all gave their input to this. The client knew what she wanted and so all we did was to help actualise that vision into something that would work for all."
Holiday Inn Dubai F&B director George Sarkis said: "I realised the new retro look and its offerings in the ambience, through the lighting, the sounds the food and the drinks menu was accepted, as a long-standing guest asked, if we had copied the bar from Ibiza."
