InterContinental Doha The City has appointed Pascal Eggerstedt as the new general manager of the 525-key hotel and residences.
Eggerstedt brings more than 22 years of experience to his new role and has been with IHG since 1997.
Prior to joining InterContinental Doha The City, Eggerstedt served as general manager at Crowne Plaza Bahrain, where he led a US $12 million renovation.
He began his career in various operational roles in luxury properties around Europe and the Caribbean. He moved to IHG’s corporate offices in Hong Kong and Singapore in the total quality management and continuous improvement department.
He also spent time in Indonesia before joining IHG’s global headquarters in London as director operations support for the EMEA region.
In 2007, Eggerstedt was part of the pre-opening team at the InterContinental and Crowne Plaza Dubai Festival City as hotel manager.
Following stints at the InterContinental Phoenicia Beirut and Hotel InterContinental Le Vendome in Lebanon, Eggerstedt was appointed general manager of Crowne Plaza in Muscat, Oman.
