The Rezidor Hotel Group has appointed Joep Peeters as senior vice president franchised services, effective immediately.
The Dutch national is now based at Rezidor’s Head Office in Brussels and reports to executive vice president and chief operating officer Olivier Harnisch.
“I am delighted to welcome Joep Peeters to Rezidor,” said Harnisch. “His extensive expertise in the world of hospitality and franchising will be instrumental in further developing this critical area of our business.
“Franchising remains our second most important development vehicle besides management agreements. Building on a strong foundation, we want to establish Rezidor as one of the preferred franchise partners in EMEA."

Peeters joins Rezidor from Westbridge Europe, where, as managing director, he was responsible for all day-to-day activities of properties under a number of brands, including 18 IHG hotels in Europe. He was also a board member of the IHG Europe Owners’ Association.
