Les Roches International School of Hotel Management is celebrating its 60th anniversary by hosting a conference called Breaking Boundaries in Education on November 20, 2014.
The one-day event will include keynote speakers and panel sessions on innovation, entrepreneurship, employability, as well as the latest trends in hospitality and the role education plays in shaping the industry’s future.
From the UAE, Rotana president and CEO Omer Kaddouri, who previously attended Les Roches, will participate in the innovation panel.
Kaddouri commented: “I am very excited to take part in this significant event being an alumnus of Les Roches myself. We will be discussing trends and customer expectations, how they have impacted the industry and how best to prepare the upcoming generation of hospitality professionals for these new challenges.”

Other speakers at the event will include Suzan LeVine, US Ambassador to Switzerland, who will present the keynote address and will discuss the major global economic and social challenges and the importance of professional education.
Panellists will include Kempinski vice president of talent development Michel Gehrig, Grupo Habita chief marketing officer Rafael Micha, and Wild China founder Zhang Mei, and ESPA CEO Susan Harmsworth.
Commenting on the 60th anniversary, Les Roches Worldwide CEO Sonia Tatar said: “It has been a remarkable journey for our school and one that has brought so many reasons to be proud. In many corners of the world, our alumni and students are making unique contributions to the industry by leading, transforming and enriching it with their innovation and entrepreneurial approach.”
The conference will be followed by an alumni award and gala dinner to recognise the achievements of Les Roches’ most successful graduates.
