Carlson Rezidor is to open a second property under the Radisson Blu brand in Cairo in 2016, with a 300-room hotel owned by Genena Group.
Scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2016, the Radisson Blu Hotel, Cairo Nasr City will be a new property built adjacent to Genena Mall, which is under the same ownership.

The hotel will have a an all-day-dining restaurant, lounge bar, fitness area, spa, roof top swimming pool with sky bar and a meetings and events area featuring a ballroom.

The deal for the new hotel means Rezidor now operates or is developing seven hotels, with more than 2,800 rooms.
Rezidor already operates the 427-key Radisson Blu Hotel, Cairo Heliopolis in the Egyptian capital.
The continuing recovery of the Egyptian hotel market was recently demonstrated by the latest data from STR Global, which showed that occupancy levels almost doubled to 55.3% in October, compared to the same month in 2013.
