Rotana president and CEO Omer Kaddouri has been presented with an Innovation Award by Les Roches International School of Hotel Management - which he graduated from in 1986.
He was presented with the award at a gala dinner and alumni awards ceremony to celebrate the school’s 60th anniversary. Attendees included global leaders in the hospitality industry and the Les Roches executive team.
Kaddouri was recognised for his many initiatives involving the retention and succession plans for Rotana's talent. One of his major accomplishments is the TAROT Programme (The Accelerated Refinement of Talent), which targets college or university graduates as well as existing colleagues whom Rotana believes have a bright future.

Under the leadership of Kaddouri, Rotana has implemented ways to facilitate guest’s decision-making and booking process while cutting down on administrative tasks related to registration and payments. Guests at several Rotana properties can now check-in online via rotana.com and the Rotana Mobile App, and can also avail of the Tablet Check-In and Check-Out service.
Additionally, Rotana has introduced an online restaurants and table management system that centralises guests' profiles, allows social media integration, email and SMS reservation confirmations, and integrates with popular restaurant booking sites.
"The measure of our success lies in the exceptional career paths and leadership accomplishments of our alumni," said Les Roches global’s CEO Sonia Tatar.
"Those awarded represent the best of our school and embody not only the excellence of our curricula but the values we instil in them. Although in very different stages in their careers, they have each demonstrated how to be entrepreneurial, innovative and concerned about those around them. They make us proud."
