Iris Dubai, the rooftop bar and restaurant at The Oberoi, Dubai, has started the year with appointment of a new executive chef, Iman Saade.

He is expected to spearhead a new raw bar menu, and the lead the culinary innovation and development at the F&B venue.

Saade hails from a family of restauranteurs, who have been a part of the Asian culinary scene for over 20 years. His interest multiplied upon opening of their family restaurant, The Shogun Lounge and Restaurant, in Saudi Arabia in 1998, and hence he decided to pursue his passion as a career.

In 2010, Saade enrolled at the L'Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon, specialising in French cuisine. Upon graduation, he was offered the chance to work in Kyoto, Japan for six months at Kikunoi, a 3 star Michelin restaurant.

His signature style now features both French and Asian influences, and he plans to use this combination to create a unique menu for Iris.
