Food menus at meetings at Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts across Asia, Middle East and Africa are about to get a lot healthier – the result of a partnership with chef Teresa Cutter.

Intercontinental Hotels Group has announced that the hotel brand is working with the classically-trained chef, nutrition expert and certified fitness expert, who is also the founder of The Healthy Chef.

She will create a collection of 60 original recipes for Crowne Plaza meetings’ menus including breakfast, mid-morning, lunch, afternoon tea and healthy snacks. The new menus will also aim to stimulate meeting productivity.

“This year, we’ve launched the InterContinental Planet Trekkers Children’s Menu developed by celebrity chef Theo Randall and leading children’s food expert book author Annabel Karmel MBE, and we most recently announced the partnership with Nutrition Australia to develop a kids' menu for Holiday Inn.”

Dishes on the new menus will aim to fill the guest up without weighing them down, with fresh and healthy ingredients to energise business guests for a productive meeting.

Among the options available will be poached organic chicken salad with pistachio and lemon parsley mint salsa verde, and a rich power smoothie for breakfast made with almond milk, vanilla bean and lush berries.

“Just like the body, the brain will not be able to function without energy,” explained Cutter. “Getting this energy by eating the right foods in the correct proportions can help boost memory, prevent lethargy and encourage productivity.

“Working with Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts is a great opportunity to support guests and help them to stay productive and energised throughout the day.”

Cutter has written five healthy cookbooks of which two have ranked number one on iTunes. She has also worked on campaigns with the Australian Government and brands such as Blackmores, Weight Watchers and Vitamix.
