Preferred Hotel Group has launched Preferred Residences, a collection of villas, bungalows, condominiums, and other units available at luxury hotels and resorts.

The first 18 properties are existing members of the group’s portfolio and now have their residential units represented under the new Preferred Residences collection.

Preferred Hotel Group president and CEO Lindsey Ueberroth commented: “Preferred Residences allows us to satisfy a growing demand from our guests who want access to the private residence experience but are also resistant to relinquishing the convenience of staying in a luxury hotel or having to subscribe to a membership-based service.”

“Whether catering to an executive who needs an impressive apartment for a business meeting or to a large family that wants more space to simply let loose, Preferred Residences is a premier resource that helps travellers book with confidence, knowing that their accommodation is backed by our brand’s 45-year guarantee of excellence in quality and service.”

The new Preferred Residences offers membership-free holiday combining the flexibility, space, and privacy of a luxury residence with the services and amenities of an independent hotel stay.

All units feature living spaces, kitchens, and custom furnishings; some offer outdoor areas, private pools, and complimentary benefits such as resort car services.

When staying at the residences, guests have priority access and charge privileges to on-property services and amenities, such as the ability to reserve tables at restaurants, make last-minute spa appointments, and schedule airport transfers via helicopter.

Guests can access additional benefits through the iPrefer guest loyalty programme, which offers points redeemable for cash-value reward certificates, elite status, and benefits such as complimentary internet to members upon every stay at more than 550 participating Preferred Hotel Group and Preferred Golf Club locations worldwide.

Preferred Hotel Group represents 650 hotels, resorts, and serviced residences around the world.

The group has partnered with Paramount Hotels & resorts on its first Middle East property, to open in Dubai in 2016.

Preferred Hotel Group will provide the reservation booking engine and sales and marketing platform for all the properties.

Previously, Dubai’s Habtoor Grand was also under the Preferred Hotel Group umbrella before it became part of Marriott’s Autograph collection earlier this year.

There are no confirmed Preferred Residences collection hotels confirmed for the Middle East yet.
