Local brand to go global
Boncafé launched its regional headquarters in Dubai in 2003 as a follow-up to its worldwide expansion plans. It then created the Bonequip division that “provides a complete in-house coffee shop design and foodservice supply solution with full consultation, professional and expert guidance”.
Boncafé plans to introduce compatible capsules in the Middle East that have seen tremendous success in the French and Italian markets.

Its bestselling products include Boncafé Grand Cru — a gourmet coffee of Brazilian origin, Thermoplan black and white coffee machines with Swiss technology, and La Marzocco coffee machines.
In August 2014, the Massimo Zanetti Beverage Group acquired 100% equity share of the Boncafé group. Tony Billingham, CEO of Boncafé Middle East said: “The integration of the Boncafé brand within the Massimo Zanetti Beverage Group will provide the opportunity for further expansion throughout the region and will help take Boncafé to its next stage of growth and help drive our expansion across the Middle East.”
The firm’s expansion plans within the Middle East include Oman, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan and Turkey, and then reaching northwards into Europe.
Boncafé continues its expansion plans into Asia, where it has set up a new roasting facility in Vietnam, opened up a new office Hong Kong and has teamed up as a sponsor of IPL in India. Boncafé group is also one of the main sponsors for the 2015 McLaren F1 team.
Headquartered in the UAE,Boncafé has set out aggressive expansion plans, which include Singapore, India, and the larger subcontinent.
