Ajman-based R Hotels has signed a franchise agreement with Accor Hotel Services Middle East to operate its Jumeirah property, set to open by Q4.

The 191-key hotel is situated in Al Mina Road, Jumeirah was acquired in September last year and features an all-day dining restaurant, banqueting facilities, a gym, swimming pool, concept spa and salon, and meeting space as well as a business centre.

“The ibis Styles Jumeirah will for the first time offer a lifestyle accommodation experience in central Dubai, while maintaining the ultimate promise of modernity, simplicity and wellbeing at the best price.”

Ibis Styles Jumeirah will be R Hotels’ fifth property in the UAE and is outlined by Accor as “a non-standardised economy and design brand”.

The group currently owns and manages Ramada Hotel and Suites Ajman, Ramada Beach Hotel Ajman, Ramada Downtown Dubai, and Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham in Jumeirah Beach Residence.

R Hotels also announced the opening of its sixth property at The Palm, which is expected to open in the last quarter of 2016.

R Hotels is the hotel subsidiary of 2005-founded multi-faceted business group R Hodlings.

In 2013 R Hotels announced an AED 1.5 billion (US $408.7 million) investment to double its portfolio to six properties by the end of 2015.
