Ròya International has appointed Walid Harouni as senior director, asset management, where he will oversee the company’s hotel asset management division.
Most recently, Harouni was with Abu Dhabi-based National Corporation for Tourism and Hotels, where he oversaw all aspects of the group’s hotel division and the growth of Danat Hotels and Resorts.
Harouni has previously worked with Le Meridien Hotels in Paris, and InterContinental Hotels Group in Oman, Cote d’Ivoire, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
Commenting on Haroun’s appointment, Ròya founder and group CEO Ahmed Ramdan said: “Walid is well known, liked and respected by all of us in the industry. Strategic and dynamic, he has a strong track record of delivering solid returns on the properties under his stewardship. We are all happy to have him join us.”
