Al Manshar Rotana has appointed Alaa Malkawi as the new materials manager. The Jordanian national holds a bachelor’s degree in hotel management
Malkawi joins from Media Rotana Dubai, where he was mostly recently working as the materials officer for the last two years.
His responsibilities included cost effective procurement of non-food general items and food items, monitoring supplier performance against agreed measurement criteria, implementing appropriate corrective actions and advising of impending business risk, planning and managing the department resources in order to ensure that all commercial activities are processed efficiently and in compliance the company policy & procedures.
In his new role, Malkawi will be responsible for all the purchasing functions, storing and issuing of all stored food, beverage, general, engineering and operating equipment.
