Dubai-based Landmark Hotels and Suites will launch four hotels under its mid-market brand over the next 12 months, company officials told sister title Construction Week.
Landmark Hotels & Suites, a part of the Landmark Zenath Group, is a hospitality chain in the Middle East, currently operating more than eight properties in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and India. The hospitality chain owns five hotels in the UAE, and three hotels in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Peter Alexander Janssen, CEO of Landmark’s hospitality division, said the hotels to be launched in the near future will be across the UAE, including in Dubai and Fujairah.
“We have a plan of expanding to about four new properties in the next 12 months,” he said.

“Currently we are operating at 90%-plus occupancy. That’s given us the confidence of expanding and looking for more opportunities in the GCC region.
"We will open a new hotel in Fujairah which will have around 241 rooms. The second one will be located along Dubai's Sheikh Zayed Road, and comprise 232-room hotel apartments," he continued.
The next two properties will be located in the Green Community at Dubai Investments Park, Janssen added, stating the company is also considering taking up new franchisees of hotels.
He added that some properties would be owned and operated by Landmark, while others would be run as joint ventures, depending on local regulations.
