Fabien Chesnais has joined Mövenpick Hotel & Apartments Bur Dubai as the new general manager.
Chesnais takes over the role from Robert Barker, who is now general manager at Mövenpick Hotel Ibn Battuta Gate.
Prior to joining the Dubai property, the French national was general manager of Mövenpick Hotel Doha for four years.
In his new role, Chesnais will oversee the overall management of the hotel and set strategic directions for continued growth and development.
Chesnais began his career in food and beverage operations, and has worked in Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.
He previously spent seven years with Hilton Worldwide as F&B manager at various hotels and resorts in Egypt, before joining Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea in Jordan as executive assistant manager in 2007.
Chesnais holds a Hotel Management Diploma in Finance, Sales and Marketing from France and speaks fluent Arabic, English and French.
