Premier Inn Sharjah and developer and asset manager Action Hotels, celebrated the opening of the delayed property on Wednesday last week.
The 168-room property was originally expected to open last year, but had to hold off due to power and snagging issues.
Adam Nicholls, Managing Director for Premier Inn, Middle East commented: “We are delighted to be working with Action Hotels and are really excited to be able to bring the Premier Inn brand to even more customers across the Middle East.

“We have a fantastic team who are looking forward to welcoming customers to Premier Inn Sharjah and delivering our promise of a great night’s sleep, at affordable prices.”
Alain Debare, Chief Executive Officer of Action Hotels commented: “I am delighted that Premier Inn Sharjah is now open. The hotel enjoys a superb location in the heart of Sharjah and is the first internationally branded economy hotel in the Emirate. We are confident in the hotel’s future success. Sharjah is well positioned for both leisure and business travel and is a hub of culture and activity, having been
named Arab Tourism Capital for 2015.”
Kuwaiti-based Action Hotels is the developer and asset manager of a number of three- and four-star brands across the Middle East, including Holiday Inn Muscat and Novotel Kuwait.
Earlier this year the company announced it would convert an office tower for its new three-star 130-key property in Riyadh, set to open in Q2 2016.
According to Action Hotels, early operational profitability sees most of its properties break even within their first three months of operations.
The management team has said it expects Premier Inn Sharjah to follow this trend.
