Alila Jabal Akhdar marked Alila Hotels & Resorts’ first Middle East hotel when it opened in Q2 last year and now the hotel is fully licensed, with a full selection of the world’s finest beverages.

The hotel has operated for more than a year without a licence, catering to GCC residents and those who don’t mind a dry stay amidst the Jabal Mountains.

Guests may now sample beverages from around the world at the resort’s Juniper Restaurant or sundowners served at the Rose Lounge overlooking the canyons.

Alila Jabal Akhdar guests can also enjoy poolside refreshments courtesy of the pool bar.

The hotel has also worked with some of the world's best vineyards, to complement the resort chef's amazing farm-to-table creations.

Jabal Akhdar, meaning “The Green Mountain” in Arabic, is part of the Al Hajar mountain range, one of Oman’s most spectacular regions. Perched here 2,000 meters above sea level, Alila Jabal Akhdar perches atop a gorge and is known for its grand views.

Alila Hotels & Resorts, formerly a Singapore-based company, was acquired by San Francisco-based Commune Hotels & Resorts just this summer.

Alila’s former CEO Frederic Flageat-Simon will now serve as CEO Asia of Commune Hotels & Resorts.

The brand plans to open its second Middle East hotel in 2017.
