Gordon Ramsay has revealed that he's in talks to open a second venue in Dubai, and that it could be one of the British chef's eponymous Gordon Ramsay restaurants.

Ramsay, who will make a return to Dubai next month with the launch of his Bread Street Kitchen restaurant at Atlantis The Palm, first entered the Dubai F&B scene with Verre at the Hilton Dubai Creek in 2001.

His new Bread Street Kitchen will open October 23 in the space previously occupied by Rostang, the restaurant operated by Michelin-starred French chef Michel Rostang.

Originally opened in London’s St Pauls area, Bread Street Kitchen has since sparked Ramsay’s global revival, with the launch of Bread Street Kitchen in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Bread Street Kitchen is described as a relaxed restaurant and bar, with an casual dining menu.

However, the 48-year-old has further big plans in the city. "We are also talking to two or three individuals about a 60 to 70 seater fine dining restaurant. If I bring a Restaurant Gordon Ramsay to Dubai, it will be a Restaurant Gordon Ramsay.

"Expectations are going to be high. So, Bread Street first, and then, I think, in 2016/2017, a potential Restaurant Gordon Ramsay opening as well," he said in an exclusive interview with Hotelier Middle East's sister title TimeOut Dubai magazine.

Ramsay used to operate a Maze by Gordon Ramsay restaurant in Qatar's The Pearl island development, which closed down shortly after the government's decision to ban all alcohol from the man-made island.

He currently has a Restaurant Gordon Ramsay at the St. Regis Doha, as well as Opal restaurant in the same hotel.
