The Café Barbera franchise has opened its eighth outlet in the UAE.
The new café, located in Uptown Mirdiff, was inaugurated by Giovanni Favilli, Italian consul general in Dubai; fifth generation family owner Enrico Barbera, CEO and co-founder, Café Barbera Franchise; Sufyan Al Muhaisen, COO and co-founder, Café Barbera Franchise.
The brand plans to open six more outlets - one each in London and Istanbul, and two more in KSA and Dubai by the end of 2015.
Opened with an initial investment of USD 0.54 million (AED 2 million), Cafe Barbera’s new store will cater to Uptown Mirdiff, comprising residential properties, schools, and a few commercial establishments.
“The opening of the eighth Barbera Café Franchise outlet in the UAE reinforces the popularity and demand for its coffee, ambiance and wholesome experience,” said Barbera.
“The move is line with our growth strategy to increase our store portfolio to 120 stores by 2020 and make our quality offering available to coffee lovers in a relaxing environment.”
Al Muhaisen said: “Cafe Barbera has successfully attracted more business growth and has strengthened its brand presence over the years. To date, there are more than 53 Cafe Barbera franchisees spread across various locations with more to open in the next few months, further strengthening the brand's position in the competitive coffee shop market.”
