A visiting delegation from the Ajman government at the Milan Expo 2015 held four separate meetings with key officials of the city.
The meeting were held to gather information about Milan and learn the best practices in organising a huge international exhibition.
The team headed by HE Saeed Almatrooshi, secretary general, executive council of the Emirate of Ajman visited the Lombardy Region and met Marco De Capitani, officer for trade and fair, along with Giusi Valeriano, officer for tourism.

The team also met several other high profile dignitaries from the events and tourism department.
According to HE Faisal Al Nuaimi, general manager, Ajman Tourism Development Department, the objective of the meeting was to learn about how the government prepared for the Milan Expo 2015. The officials shared their experiences with the Ajman delegation and discussed the different strategies that were implemented during the six-month long event.
In addition to the visit of the Lombardy region, the team will also visit the UAE pavilion at the Milan Expo.
All the information and experience gathered by the delegation from these meetings will be submitted to the Ajman government for study and evaluation as it prepares for Dubai Expo 2020.
