EMF Emirates, the exclusive distributor in the UAE for a variety of pastry and bakery brands, in collaboration with French company PCB Creations, organised a Pastry Fashion Day event. Hosted by Jordie Bordas, the event took place on September 7, 2015 at the Oeno Bar, Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina.
The event introduced the new winter collection, which was created in collaboration with professionals such as Pierre Hermé, Christophe Michalak, Fabrice Gillotte, Sébastien Bouillet, Angelo Musa, Franck Michel, Philippe Rigollot, Nicolas Bernardé, Pascal Niau and Lionel Lallement. The event was attended by chefs and industry professionals, and focused on new products and techniques.
Bordas, who won the Pastry World Cup in 2011, runs a family business in Viladecans, Spain, and developed the B·Concept pastry-making method. He took part at the World Pastry Cup in 2009 before being successful at the next edition, as the Spanish team captain.

Co-organiser PCB Creations specialises in high quality pastry decorations and concepts. The firm offers a large choice of food decorations created by a team of professional designers — finished decorations or to create yourself, decorations for chocolate bonbons, sweets and moulds.
The event was also co-hosted by EMF ME technical advisor chef Frédéric Legras. With more than 16 years of international experience, Legras started his career by attending the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Pâtisserie, building a strong foundation in pastry. He then worked at Payard Pâtisserie & Bistro in New York, and with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Corporation in Florida, Ireland and Dubai, before joining Dubai-based ChoCo’a. He then took over as executive pastry chef at the Conrad Bangkok.
Rosewood Abu Dhabi executive pastry chef Francois Leo, who attended the event, said: “It was an honour to meet chef Jordi Bordas and see the new Christmas collection from PCB. I love the new ‘white colour’ and the whole range is really inspiring.”
