Executive congress held in Dubai to promote tourism arrivals from Kazakhstan to the emirate

Tourism delegates from Kazakhstan visited Dubai to attend an executive congress aiming to promote tourism arrivals in the emirate.

The event was hosted by the hotel Habtoor Grand Beach Resort & Spa Autograph Collection, and consisted of 60 participants, including 50 Kazakhstan tourism agents.

Congress included presentations from Dubai Tourism, in addition to Kazakhstan based Natalie Tours, focusing on strategic plans for the market.

Despite its financial crisis, Kazakhstan plans to increase sales of UAE tours in 2016, said Natalie Tours Kazakhstan Head Yuri Sobolev.

Since Natalie Tours' representative office was first launched in Kazakhstan, around 50,000 tourists from the country have visited UAE.

Alpha Destination Management CEO Adnan Aridi said: "We attracted more than 80 thousand Russian tourists during the first 10 month of 2015 and will a make big marketing campaign in Russia with the cooperation of DTCM."

“[In the] last few years the Russian [market] represented more than 25% of the hotel guests, but after the crises this percentage decreased" said Habtoor Grand Beach Resort & Spa hotel manager Khalid Said.

"After the marketing campaign between DTCM and Alpha we expect to increase the total Russian arrivals by half a million," said Natalie Tours president Vladimir Vorobiev.

At present there are four airlines servicing the market, with 33 flights weekly from Kazakhstan to UAE.
